    For anyone's info, if useful;

    Sparsholt College, Hampshire accept the A.Dip CBM as entry to their BSc (Hons) Applied Animal Behaviour (Top Up) degree course.

    They are based between Southampton and Winchester (I believe. Post Code SO21 2NF) Their web-site is;

    www.sparsholt.ac.uk

    The course isn't actually as 'Distance Learning' based as BB. You have to attend for 4 block weeks each of the 2 year course (travel wise not a problem for me, as the drive should be about an hour away), but if you need to take annual leave from a job, likely to use it all up?

    Their course is across different species I think, which means buying books no doubt you would never uses again if planning to just specialise in dogs - like me. Hence I would have preferred the BB course.

    For those of you within travelling distance, they are holding an 'open day' for mature prospective students, to learn about what to expect studying a Uni course. The open day date is Saturday 5th March (10>3 I think), it needs to be booked as they have a set number of places and are supplying a buffet lunch (the younger students open day is just a 'pop in' set up with no lunch. Obviously those of us who are more mature need a rest and our brain cells feeding during the day!!).

    The contact number is;

    01962 797213 / Part Time Admissions.

    email: courses@sparsholt.ac.uk

    Or book via the web site (Main Menu: Careers info/tasters > Mature student info day).

    Annoyingly I work Saturdays and have no more spare annual leave left that I can take, so I cannot go. But it may be a useful experience for anyone that can?

    Plus obviously, if booked now (You can apply up to the Course start date Sept 2011, providing spaces still) the course is not affected by any (unknown) price increases 2012 when the course 'caps' are lifted. The price when printed the info off (26/10/10) is £2190.

    Yes it was all a bit confusing. I was keeping an eye on the web site last year, rang them up and was told they were not running it so it was only by chance I looked again and found the Course still there.

    I emailed them and they confirmed that they are running it this year and sent me an application form.
